It is recommended that participants provide their own titled and registered motorcycle. Proof of insurance and registration is required, the cycle must be plated and it must pass a cycle safety inspection by an instructor.

Motorcycles that are not judged to be in safe riding condition or appropriate for the class, will not be allowed to be ridden in the class. Sharing of a motorcycle is not allowed. Scooters are allowed. Training motorcycles will be provided for those who do not have a motorcycle judged as appropriate for the class.

A screening exercise will be conducted during the class where students will be required to demonstrate competency in basic motorcycle operational skills in a riding exercise intended to measure abilities before continuing the course. If it is determined the rider needs additional skill development before proceeding, they will not be allowed to continue the class and will be referred to the Basic Rider Course (no refunds; no transfers).
