Beginning Tai Chi - Wheelchair Users

Tai-Chi (TIE-CHEE) is an ancient Chinese tradition that was originally developed in China for self-defense over 900 years ago. Today, Tai Chi has evolved into a graceful form of exercise that's now used for stress reduction, enhanced physical strength and the improvement of a variety of other health conditions. Often described as meditation in motion, Tai-Chi is practiced as a beautiful form of exercise and is a very unique and graceful. Tai-Chi also promotes serenity and involves a series of graceful and flowing movements performed in a slow, focused manner accompanied by deep breathing all while sitting in a stationary chair or wheel chair. Students should wear comfortable clothing such as sweat pants and a sweat shirt. A Tai Chi jacket can be worn if preferred.
Any participant sitting in a stationary chair or wheelchair is welcome to join the Beginner course.
