Picasso once said, "Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life." Learn how watercolor can help you set aside the pressures of the day and explore your creative side all while you learn the basics of a medium that is safe, earth friendly and fulfilling. New students are welcome and should not hesitate to put away any existing apprehension and discover some fresh creativity in Beginning Watercolor Workshop.
This class is a collage of watercolor approaches emphasizing both classical and experimental techniques for beginning students. Topics covered include but are not limited to mixing and thinning paint, the color wheel, wetting rage paper, application, relationship to drawing, observation of details, and transfer techniques.
Students are responsible to supply their own course materials and could spend approximately $60 to $100 on course materials depending on where and how they are purchased and what is already in the student's possession. More detailed information on supplies will be provided the first night of class.
